About a Whispering Gown

Each heirloom quality Whispering gown is carefully designed and painstakingly hand sewn to the highest couture standards. Your gown will stand the test of time and be passed down from mother to child for generations to come.

My goal is to create a sumptuous gown, a perfect harmony of beauty and durability, designed and sewn to be a treasured heirloom, appreciated by future generations.

Using the finest silks and cottons available today and fashioned using construction and sewing techniques from the 1500’s – 1800’s, each original one of a kind gown represents the best of past and present.

This care produces a work of art; a gown which is soft, beautiful, durable, and truly unique. Each gown is French seamed and all trims, pearls, and embellishments are secured by hand. Each comes with a slip and matching bonnet. Because they are sewn by hand (no machine stitching) each gown requires hundreds of hours to complete and no two are ever the same.

Whether a gown is sewn by commission for a child whose name I know or made ahead awaiting that special little person, each stitch is set by hand with love and care for the child who will wear it.

Shipping and handling include an acid free archive box and tissue paper, padded hanger and travel cover, and care and storage instructions.
